Hi, I'm Gill ,

I am a psychodynamic counsellor and I completed my supervisor training with University of Birmingham in 1996 as part of my MA in Professional Studies. I have been supervising other counsellors since 1996 and have worked as a supervisor online since 2001. My supervision work includes both online and face to face (where I have experience of working with both individuals and groups in agency, academic or independent settings). My online supervision can be conducted either real time using Instant Messenger or my chat room or email.

As supervisor I try to create a relationship which enables my supervisees to look at their work honestly and creatively. I support and help them to examine the work, themselves as counsellors and their feelings about the work.

I see the supervisory relationship as a working space in which we both learn:

to play with ideas
to find information (professional growth and development)
to look at ethical issues (in the work and workload)
